Upcoming DeSoto Dig Dates!

Volunteer Opportunities!

The deSoto project: Sign up to be a deSoto volunteer!

P.A.S.T. are revisiting the archeology of Hernando deSoto- looking at old data as well as searching for areas in the downtown area of Tallahassee that could be newly tested for this early Spanish presence.  Find out more about the project here.  Testing began in October of 2009 and will run through the early part of 2010.  YOU MUST SIGN UP IN ADVANCE TO PARTICIPATE!!!

To participate: Sign up at the next meeting, or contact an officer.  You must be a paid-up member to take part.  Also, you need to have received a volunteer pack (see below) and return your forms before you are allowed on site.  There will be a roster to reserve your chance on particular days available at each meeting; this is a first come, first serve basis- though you will all have an opportunity.  If you cannot attend a meeting in the month you wish to assist, you should contact an officer.
